There were so many amazing plants for sale. Well done to all in the gardening club.
Thank you to Mandy, Carol and all the other volunteers for giving up your Tuesday lunch times to nurture our green fingered pupils. Here is a video of photos taken throughout the year.
Mandy and Carol our lovely volunteers, on a beautiful sunny lunch time, helping our green fingered horticulturalists prepare plants for the summer fayre.
As the weather was so damp gardening club took place in Woodpeckers classroom (they were out for the day). Mandy and her helpers managed to support a number of children to re-pot bulbs. But shhhhhh is’e a surprise.
Here is a list dates and of the amazing volunteers we have for this half term who are prepared to come to school between 11.30 -1.30 to help support our pupils. Obviously the more adults we have the more children can attend.
KS1 pupils garden from 12.30-1.00 & KS2 pupils garden from 1.00-1.30.
So please dig deep and put a couple of dates in your diary. We would love to see you.
Phone Sheila 01962 713445 or Trudy 01962 717830 at school to let us know when you can volunteer.

This is a message from Mandy one of our lovely mums who runs this amazing club. She brings energy and enthusiasm on a Tuesday lunch time to inspire our budding horticulturists.
She meets in reception at 11.30 on a Tuesday and is often here till just after 1.30. Adele and Carol are often there too as support. It has become popular with our children so any other parents/grandparents who would like to volunteer could you please contact the school via your child’s home/school book. Help is most required between 12.30-1.30 when the children come out to plant.
This week the juniors planted bulbs in the woodland area. Those chairs are going to look awesome.
The infants planted some green beans, some of them dug over and planted some wild flower seed in the borders. Carol donated a bird feeder in the centre of the higher raised bed. They also planted some grass seed into the arms of the armchair which was planted last week.
Juniors did a very good job of separating the beetroot which had grown well from last year and needed dividing and replanting. Then they planted some great chairs with daffodils and then chose where to put their creations in the woodland area.
Thank you to Mandy Stretch, Sarah Sibbald, Adele Smith & Carol Fulflood who are the amazing ladies who run this very popular lunch time club.
