Hello 🙂

We have welcomed some new children to Linnets and have some familiar faces 🙂

The children have a lot of fun and we have had a lot of sensory play! We have been doing the Gruffalo as our story – Oh Help, oh no! It’s the GRUFFALO!!

In cookery we have been exploring the poisonous “wart”, touching the different chocolates and oats.

It has been a lovely half term to settle the children in!

Hello All!

Hope you have had a lovely summer 1 so far!
We have had a lot of fun exploring different parts of the school and reading our 3 Little Pigs Story.
We have had fun in the builders yard in our roleplay area in the classroom, and feeling different materials in our big mark making.
We have managed to go outdoors a lot and even on the swings and roundabout!

We had so many more photos – but at 10 minutes long already I chose the best bits!

Enjoy 🙂

Hi Linnets!

For this video you will need:

– a blanket
– a teddy

You can use your own music for the colours, or use the music I have chosen in the video.
The music sections aren’t very long – but it will give you an idea of the actions and how they are used.

In Linnets we love Story and Dance Massages, they can be calm, or exciting and teach us to connect with our body.

Hi Linnets!

Below is our Maths song “3 little men in a flying saucer”.

I would like to apologise now, not only for my singing! But also the lefts/rights in the song are a tad confused as I recorded it in selfie mode and got a bit mixed up – so please ignore this!

Please click the links below to see the photos of the counting parts of the video. And pause as you need throughout!

To sing along you will need:

– an instrument
– 3 objects
– a tub to put the instruments in

Thanks for watching!

Hello Lovely Linnets and Parents/Carers!

It’s been a brilliantly autumnal November. We have been looking at the story “We are going on a Leaf Hunt” and exploring textures, hot/cold in sensology, looking at the colours of Autumn and making leaf pies in our Mini Mud Kitchen. We have also been exploring a different foods in cookery (yummy flapjack, marshmallows and cakes!). We have had so much fun!!

I apologise for the length of this blog – it’s a long one! I just couldn’t cut it down, the photos are all too amazing!

Hello 🙂

It has been a fantastic half term with great memories made! The children have all come back with smiles on their faces and a great love of learning!
We have all gotten to know each other and have started to do our Literacy, Numeracy, Food Explorers, 1:1 and group work and it has been amazing to see what the children have already achieved. We have had a lot of Art and sensory play and got messy! But it’s all in the name of fun and learning!

I hope you enjoy our first blog of the school year – have a lovely break!

From the Linnets Team!
